Hi Michael,

I've been using my NeatReceipts scanner since December. I really like it and it fits my needs and workflow well - heavy receipt / light document scanning. If I was doing a lot of paper documents I'd look more into the NeatDesk or Fujitsu 510 scanners because of their superior, automatic paper-feeding abilities. The ability to do duplex scanning with the Fujitsu series would be a huge plus. It makes me smile just thinking about it.

Perhaps a second critical part of the equation is the software for entering and searching these electronic documents. From watching the product video at NeatCo.com, the NeatDesk software looks really polished - much more than what I'm using on the Mac with NeatReceipts. I'm not sure what Fujitsu offers, maybe Readiris via a rebate? And, from what I can surmise from the screenshots on the Irislink.com website, document management with Readiris is non-existant.

Lastly, the design of a product factors into my decision making and I think Fujitsu has a lot to learn in that department. :) I'd want to put a bag over any Fujitsu sitting on my desk. :) My scanner is adorable and looks great sitting next to my computer.

I think the only drawback with my setup is that the Neat software for Mac is nowhere near as functional as what they offer for the PC.

Hi David,
So have you gotten your Neat scanner and are you glad you got it instead of the Fujistu 300? I am looking at either the NeatDest scanner or the Fujitsu (300 or 510) any thoughts or followup?
Thanks!
